Over the years, Design Stream has become skilled in using programme logic controllers as a tool to assess how a product might work. Our skills were first successfully put to the test in optimising the tea brewing process for the T-Bird series of tea machines.  More recently they were used to prove and validate the Chargebox concept at a prototype level, which was key in attracting further investment into the business for manufacture.

Although they offer a cheap alternative for prototyping and provide a fast and flexible way of creating a control circuit, it is the way that they can be used alongside other stimulus material that has proved most valuable. Demonstrating the experience of using a new product to potential consumers is an important exercise in gauging a more accurate response about the validity of the concept. Please contact Miles Pennington to discuss how we could be of assistance in using our mechantronic skills to bring your ideas to life.

Skills Spotlight - Bringing the Product Experience to Life

We live in a technology driven society, where many of the products that surround us comprise of some sort of electronic control and interface. However, in the process of creating successful innovation it is essential to demonstrate the experience of a product. Bringing it to life early on allows us to understand its potential and how it can be improved before the point of no return.
